Saif refuses to act as junior Rishi.
Indian audiences simply adored Saif Ali Khan playing Junior Rishi Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali?s 2009 hit Love Aaj Kal. Director of upcoming movie Patiala House, Nikhil Advani wanted to repeat the same magic again onscreen by casting Khan to play Rishi Kapoor. But Khan has declined the offer saying playing one time Rishi is enough.
The role eventually landed in the lap of actor Kumud Mishra who is a theatre actor. Yesteryear actor Rishi Kapoor confirmed the news, ?I believe Saif refused to do the ?friendly appearance?. But anyway, Patiala House is looking good.? Director Advani too added, ?After Love Aaj Kal we all got excited by the idea of casting Saif as the younger Rishi. But somehow it didn?t work out.?
Patiala House is expected to release later this year and stars Akshay Kumar, Anuska Sharma in lead roles. The movie is Nikhil Advani?s 4th film last being the Box Office loser Chandni Chowk to China.
