Amanda Peet was a no show Tuesday night on The Late Show With David Letterman, but the actress had a perfectly good excuse.

Late Monday night, Peet went? into early labor, and delivered daughter Molly June Benioff in New York.

“Mother and daughter are doing great,” Amanda’s rep tells People.

Peet and her screenwriter husband, David Benioff also have a 3-year-old daughter, Frances.

Amanda’s latest movie,? Please Give, hits theaters April 30.
